Our story
Straw Hat Farm is located in Tehachapi, California. About four years ago, we decided to build the garden of our dreams. It was a beautiful and productive place to grow garden goodness for ourselves, our family and our friends. Then our dream was to grow enough to share with neighbors and families in need. There was no better feeling than to share goodness straight from our garden (and kitchen) with neighbors and families who needed it most.
One year I decided that I wanted to make a few of our favorite kitchen goodies for the upcoming holiday season for friends and family. We spent hours in the garden and in the kitchen working together to make some of our favorite recipes. With happy hearts we gave them out and hoped our people would like them as much as we did. Then around late February, early March to our complete surprise, our friends and family started asking us for refills. Refills? Yes, refills! They asked for more of what we had made for them!
Our new dream is to share our passion for garden-to-table goodness with all of you. We have worked hard to grow more, harvest more and make more than ever before. We are committed to sustainable, natural growing practices and protecting soil fertility. This ensures that our garden and all that comes from it is healthy and nutritious.
